Quizard Quest

Quizard's Quest is a hybrid dungeon-crawling trivia game where you fight your way through the dastardly, hand-stealing Quizard's castle to confront him by attacking and defending using various categories and types of trivia questions. 

You can choose to play as two characters: The Lorelock and Captain Conundrum, who each possess unique combat abilities and embody the trivia categories of fantasy and science fiction, so you can choose a character that better suits your expertise. Each character has a unique ending sequence.

As you explore the castle, you can encounter unique enemies who each have their own trivia category and questions, as well as 3 mini-bosses which hold key pieces you need to confront the Quizard himself. You will also find unique items to aid in your fights against the Quizard and his trivia troupe.

Can you defeat the Quizard and get your hands back?

We really wanted to make a trivia game that broke away from the regular standard format and could play into a more exciting genre. If any questions are incorrect, feel free to comment; I wrote around 610 questions for this game in a short time, and my brain is cooked xD

Made for GMTK 2026 using the Godot Engine

We embodied the 'COUNTDOWN' theme by making all the enemies attack on a countdown that you have to watch out for, as well as the traditional question timer most trivia games have.
